Say this post's title 5 times fast :) I just adore these gold (yes, gold) peep toes from My Grandma's Closet. The leather looks soft and supple, and they would be ideal for any wedding - bride or guest. If they were my size, I would definitely buy them (why are no shoes on Etsy in my size?)

Tuesday Shoesday Part 1: Christmas Shoes

No, not those Christmas shoes. I am sharing what I received last week! The first were ourchased via a Target gift card. As you may know, I've been on the hunt for slippers. I found these boys' slippers and loved how warm and snug they were, but also had a sturdy sole for dog walking at night.

And these were a gift from my mom. I am so excited to have versatile black rain boots - we get a fair amount of rain in the DC area and I just love Kamik boots!

Tuesday Shoesday: Etsy Finds

My friend Amber Gustafson linked on Twitter today to some beautiful shoes that she borrowed from a friend who got them from Etsy, and it got me thinking that I needed to explore Etsy for shoes. Usually my go-to is Zappos, in case you had not noticed. But I was thrilled with the unique finds on Etsy!

I found these on the front page of women's shoes. I love them!


These are pretty spooky and have a very strong point of view, but I think the artist seems really talented! And they would be great for Halloween!


And I can't leave you today without a pair of slippers, since I am still in need of a new pair for this winter. Plus I just adore the dog in the photo!

Tuesday Shoesday: Boots!

I really need a new pair of shoes for the winter. Nicer, dressier shoes. I can't be wearing my Brooks Ariels or Chucks to all my meetings. And my 4-inch-high boots, while hot, are not practical enough (read: comfortable enough) for regular use. They need to be sturdy enough for a little bit of bad weather too. Here are some that I found. All are pushing my comfort level just a bit in their trendiness. But in the past when I push myself with shoes I wind up with my most favorites pairs. Which one should I get?

It's that time of year where I put my flip flops away and begrudgingly resume wearing socks and closed toe shoes. And around the house you will often find me in slippers.
