Tuesday Shoesday: Naughty by Nine West

I absolutely adore this shoe. I want it, I need is, I must have it. I mean, for Pete's sake, it's called NAUGHTY!

Tuesday Shoesday: Dorthy Flat by Draven

OK it's time to get back to my roots. And by "my roots" I mean shoes I can afford financially and physically - because you will never ever find me in a pair of Louboutins with 4 inch stilletto heels. These flats by Draven are right up my alley. Because deep down, I am a jeans, tee shirt and flats kind of girl.

Tuesday Shoesday: Nina Granite

A client of mine is wearing these to her September wedding. I just adore them! And they come in like 7 different colors, if you go directly to the Nina website! How awesome is that!

Obsessed: A Los Angeles Love blog

I absolutely adore the blog A Los Angeles Love. I discovered it just recently, and have been reading it backwards. I'm back to March, but I have a long way to go. I just adore Becca and everything she has written (that I've read) so far. I agree with her on so many levels and on so many topics. She very eloquently says things that I stutter and stumble over, and I'm the one working in the industry! And I really really admire her for not only planning an awesome wedding, but actually planning and working on a marriage too. I think so many people miss that very important part during the engagement period. Kudos to her and Jason, and I hope you will enjoy her blog as much as I do.

Obsessed: 2011 Ford Mustang

I am currently driving a car that I hate. I still have over a year of payments left on it. We'll see if I make it without trading it in. I am not a person who should ever buy a car. I love cars, and I really love new cars. I don't get my nails done (often), I don't cut my hair more than 3 times a year. I don't wear designer labels. But I am vain about my car. And I am completely in love with the 2011 Ford Mustang. The V6 gets 31 MPH highway, and has 305 horsepower. It's fast. It's loud. It's American. I want it. I need it. I must have it. It is completely impractical for my wedding work and my dog rescue work. But I will look good driving it! And after driving a car I hate for 5 years, I deserve something awesome, right?

Tuesday Shoesday: Cowboy Boots

Recently I watched the final season of Saving Grace. It reminded me that I'd really like to own a pair of cowboy boots. I think I can pull it off. I'm a casual girl; I wear jeans most of the time. The question is, which style?

Or the pure cowgirl look:

Obsessed: Pet Photography

If you haven't figured it out yet, I love animals. Dogs are my favorite, and I dedicate a lot of time to rescuing homeless ones. Recently I've been exploring the world of pet photography. I have found some amazing photographers and I have spent way too much time drooling over the photos on their sites. You should check them out too!

Obsessed: Locks of Love

Last night Larry asked me when I was going to cut my hair. He doesn't like it when it gets as long as it currently is (a little past my shoulders). He thinks I look like a flower child hippie. I reminded him that I won't be cutting it until March. See, for the past 6 years, I've been growing and cutting my hair so that I can donate it to Locks of Love. Every two years I'm able to cut off 10 to 12 inches and send it in so that disadvantaged kids can have wigs while they battle illness. I encourage everyone to send their hair to Locks of Love. Even shorter hair can help them because they sell it to offset manufacturing costs. So please check it out the next time you plan a major hair cut.

This is not me, but it is from Locks of Love.

Tuesday Shoesday: Kamik Boots

I started research for this post by looking at the eco-friendly shoes on Zappos. I was thrilled to find my favorite rain boots there. I love my Kamik boots. They are snug, warm, and an adorable pink & brown plaid. But I need a new pair. And this time I need to buy the boring black kind, to go with my wedding day attire. Even though we are in the middle of a record-setting scorching-hot summer, I still think about last fall when I spent more Saturdays with wet feet than dry. And I was hesitant to wear my bright and bold Kamiks. So clearly I need a second pair. I wish I could get these! Image from Zappos
